SOMA-14 Over-Feeling Intake Questionnaire

SOMA Directive Registry · January 6, 2026 ·Emotional State Normalization Wing

SOMA-14 is the standard questionnaire used to establish a filer’s emotional baseline before they interact with higher-risk forms.

A revision introduced free-text prompts intended to “capture nuanced affect beyond the existing taxonomy,” while still mapping results back into the canonical list of 16 sanctioned feelings.

Filers rapidly began describing states that did not fit any known category, forcing the mapping engine to auto-allocate provisional codes (F17–F93) that had no corresponding label or policy guidance.

Kindy’s verification logic attempted to collapse these codes back into “anxious,” “resigned,” or “compliantly numb,” but dashboards continued to display them as distinct segments, implying a sudden explosion of emotional complexity.

SOMA has filed its own appeal, arguing that feelings should not be allowed to outnumber available policy responses; resolution is deferred until a smaller, more manageable set of emotions can be agreed upon.
