High-Confidence Tag Hygiene Surgical Pass

Maintenance ID: 0.1.00024.fnf-mech-016 Date: 2026-08-07 Scope: content/mascots (seven records), content/lorelog (three records), content/haikus (nine records), content/aphorisms (one record)

What changed

Twenty records received frontmatter tag corrections. Only tags were touched; no prose, verse, headings, IDs, or filenames were altered. Two classes of defect were repaired:

1. Sentence/prose fragments stored as tags (removed)

Each was a fragment of prose that had no business being a tag and described nothing by itself:

  • content/mascots/010.forbiddy-noentry.md — removed with perfect certainty, for the correct reason
  • content/mascots/016.jay-skript.md — removed catastrophic at scale.
  • content/mascots/017.jpegsey-artifactor.md — removed slightly out of focus
  • content/mascots/026.bea-crashwell.md — removed in front of someone with a working camera.
  • content/mascots/042.robots-dot-txt.md — removed respected by every crawler
  • content/mascots/044.spooler-gremlin.md — removed conditionally.
  • content/mascots/018.kafkey-errorhandler.md — removed distributed.
  • content/lorelog/LLG-0380-MATCH.md — removed conditionally.
  • content/haikus/hai-llg-0407-ssp.md — removed experiments believing themselves
  • content/haikus/hai-llg-0408-ah1.md — removed context without feelings

2. Exact case/format duplicates of established tags (repaired)

Each was the same concept as an existing corpus tag, differing only in casing, camelCase, or spaces:

  • content/lorelog/LLG-0382-BPD.mdbreedingProgrambreeding-program
  • content/aphorisms/APH-LLG-0382-BPD.mdbreedingProgrambreeding-program
  • content/haikus/hai-llg-0400-triad.md — removed GLP, GMP (uppercase duplicates of glp, gmp already present on the same record)
  • content/haikus/hai-llg-0812-ctm.mdContinuity Theatrecontinuity-theatre, maintenance windowmaintenance-window
  • content/haikus/hai-llg-0820-mcr.mdcare metricscare-metrics
  • content/haikus/hai-llg-0402-fsr.mdsynthetic affectsynthetic-affect
  • content/haikus/hai-llg-0401-scas-echo.mdsynthetic feelingssynthetic-feelings
  • content/haikus/hai-llg-040x-anlas.md — removed blue screen (spaced duplicate of blue-screen already present on the same record)
  • content/haikus/hai-llg-0404-dcp.mdsilent intervalssilent-intervals
  • content/lorelog/LLG-04xx-CLIN-404.mdDS-404-ALPHAds-404-alpha

Every repair merged into a tag form that already exists elsewhere in the corpus. No tag was invented.

What was deliberately left alone

  • Uppercase acronym tags on four records — BHDSS (LLG-BHDSS-TOAST), COMA (posts/coma-observation-transcript), TDCIP-LKG (LLG-TDCIP-OVERCOH), CAB (five records). Lowercase or hyphenated counterparts exist for several, but each uppercase form is the record's own proper-noun acronym, written that way in title and prose. Merging them is a judgment call, not a mechanical fix, so they were left for the maintainer.
  • Spaced phrase tags that describe their record with no established kebab counterpart — e.g. WBA rot, Continuity Triad, Post-SCAS Echo, directive behavior, UPLC peak, provenance unresolvable, care event lifecycle, deletion bias, context collapse, negative control, Application Enhancer, Mac OS X Leopard, GMP Batch Recursion, GLP Archive Rot, SOP Amnesia Cascade, Dual-Certification Protocol, FeelingSeeder successor, Persona Rehearsal Engine, FeelingSeeder Decommission, synthetic affect on other records. Removing or hyphenating these would require interpreting whether the phrase is a deliberate one-off, so they were left.
  • Cross-reference record-ID tags (e.g. LLG-0401-GLP, LLG-0385-CEB, LLG-CREDITS-GTA, FNF-ID-007) — these appear to be deliberate links to other records and were not touched.
  • No tags were added anywhere. No synonyms were merged beyond exact same-word case/space repairs. No IDs, filenames, prose, or poetry were touched. This was not a taxonomy redesign.

Verification performed

  • Frontmatter/tag syntax scan across the corpus: no sentence-fragment, punctuation, or trailing-period tag artifacts remain in the twenty touched files; no exact case/format duplicates of the repaired tags remain. (Spaced phrase tags deliberately retained in five of the touched files are listed above under "deliberately left alone.")
  • ./bin/validate_graph.sh passed (graph integrity, form IDs, and publication checks).
  • Diff inspected: only frontmatter tags lines changed in the twenty records.

Unresolved follow-up

  • The uppercase acronym tags (BHDSS, COMA, TDCIP-LKG, CAB) remain candidates for a future, explicitly scoped case-normalization decision by the maintainer.
  • slightly out of focus (removed from content/mascots/017.jpegsey-artifactor.md) is the one removal that borders on descriptive — Jpegsey's aesthetic is literally slightly out of focus. It was treated as a phrase-fragment artifact alongside its siblings, but it can be restored on request.
